NEW EPISODES ANNOUNCED
AMC has green-lighted season two of Breaking Bad. After producing the seven episodes of season one, AMC confirmed on Wednesday, May 7, that it would be bringing Breaking Bad back for an additional thirteen episodes. Breaking Bad is the second original drama produced by AMC, and was a part of a recent original line-up that contributed to the most watched quarter in AMC history. The next season is said to have just as many intense storylines as the first, and will venture deeper into the ever changing life of Walter White (Bryan Cranston). The start date for the new season has yet to be announced.

Vince Gilligan to Co-Produce X-Files Movie
Vince Gilligan has been hard at work on the upcoming X-Files feature film, I Want to Believe, slated to be in theatres during the summer of 2008. Though the creator Chris Carter has refused to divulge information about the plot of the film, it is said that it will move away from the intricate alien based plotline of the TV show. The film will aparently adhere more to the show's stand-alone episodes, dealing with themes like cults, curses, and supernatural forces. He says he hopes to make the show accessible to a whole new generation of viewers, who have gotten older since the show's original launch in September of 1993. He also hints that the film may place some emphasis on the ambiguous, intellectual relationship between Fox Moulder (David Duchovny) and Dana Scully (Gillian Anderson). Catch the X-Files I Want to Believe in theatres, tentatively premiering on July 25 in the USA.
